On October 22, from 7:00 pm, in Ion Besoiu Hall, we lived together an evening in which hard questions and powerful stories built hope for a fairer, better tomorrow, if each of us puts our shoulder to the change, in our own corner. We talked about justice and injustice, what they look like in our daily lives and what we can do concretely for a better community.
Through storytelling, film, theater, poetry and music, we shed light on topics that rarely make it into our conversations: what it means to be a woman in our society, what Romania looks like in the sixth national anti-corruption strategy, how we prepare students for the world outside the school benches, and the pain of unseen loss and the courage to run away.
As the first show of the 2024 tour to be SOLD OUT, Sibiu came for our team with a lot of excitement. 500 people listened, felt, (and-)asked questions and welcomed us warmly at home.
The evening ended to the strains of Eyedrops, letting the thoughts settle and take root for a more just, more conscious, more united future.

On stage:
✨AUZIT(Teodora Minea), talks about the difficulty of young people to be heard and their need for spaces of expression and real opportunities in the cultural sector.
✨Aida Economu, on what it means to be unable to become a mother, what are the struggles that go on in yourself or in the world when you know that nothing in the status quo can change. How do you live and come to terms with reality?
✨ ✨Andrada Cilibiu, on the female body as a manifesto of freedom, in a personal and vulnerable story. Andrada has been a feminist activist at the FILIA Center since 2019 and fights for a safe and just society for women and girls.
✨Catalina Uță, with a story about injustice in a rigid system, the desire for change, powerlessness and taking responsibility for one's own failure
✨Corpul Poetic, with a moment of spoken word poetry- a performance art that takes social and civic themes as its starting point, conveys emotion and has a powerful impact through well-written texts delivered with courage and humor.
✨Politics up to the minute, with a moment of theatrical dialog in which they clarify why we should care about politics and how these discussions (or lack thereof) affect our daily lives.
✨Cristina Capisizu and Anca Matei, have devised a project to prepare future generations of legal professionals to approach cases of sexual violence with more empathy and understanding, using case studies, discussions with professionals, exercises to understand how their conduct as professionals impacts on victims.
✨Cristina Martinescu recalls moments when she was torn between professional obligations and her conscience. She confronts the harsh reality of lawyering: empathy is often seen as a weakness, and success is measured in minimal risks to the client, not honesty.
✨Enrico Dediu, on preventing corruption, the sixth national anti-corruption strategy and how it is applied in public institutions.
✨Paul Bogorin & Phantom, a heartfelt and powerful testimony about life with a guide dog and the challenges faced by people with disabilities in Romania. Its message is clear: dignity and respect should replace pity, and real change comes through education and openness.
✨Paula Ciucur, a story about what it really means to raise people; with non-formal methods, so that the information really reaches the people in the pews. Paula doesn't take a break after class, but thinks up activities to prepare her students for adult life.
